Tristan Peach for Hamilton

Tristan_peach_hamilton Tristan has lived in north Brisbane all of his life. He has a bachelor and masters degree in town planning and has worked, taught and received awards in this field.

For the past seven years he has worked in the community with the Nundah Positive Housing Project, Samford Transport Group, Cedar Creek Bushcare Group and Community Action for Sustainable Transport.

Results include the provision of a new bus service between Ferny Grove and Samford, and the revegetation of a large area of weed infested creek bank in Ferny Grove.

His town planning experience and community service make him well qualified to be a Councillor, and his long-term goal is to be Council’s transport chairperson.

In the Hamilton Ward his priority is listening to people and involving them directly in decisions.

He is keen to help local businesses grow, protect parkland and get more people involved in local activities.

Tristan would ensure new development follows strict standards and benefits the community.

He will be promoting light rail along Lutwyche Road, improvements to AirTrain and better cross-city bus services as an alternative to the destructive Airport Link and the Northern Busway.

Five reasons to vote Green in the Hamilton Ward

1. Influence the future – Electing a Green Councillor for Hamilton will mark the start of a new era of honesty and accountability in Council.

2. People power – I will listen to you and act on your requests. I am committed to citizen involvement in Council decisions.

3. Green growth – I will support local business and ensure development benefits the community while meeting environmental standards.

4. Your lifestyle – I will protect your parkland and neighbourhood, whereas Labor and Liberal will allow it to be bulldozed.

5. Better transport – I want to reduce traffic on local streets and I support safe, green and affordable transport options like bikeways, light rail and local bus services.
