The Wishart Ward comprises the suburbs of Eight Mile Plains, Macgregor, Robertson and parts of Upper Mt Gravatt and Wishart. Greens' candidate Surya McEwen has a vision for a Wishart that includes improved community and sporting facilities, wildlife areas, community gardens and great public transport. Surya is concerned about the rising cost of food and fuel and will work on local initiatives to ease the burden on residents. 1.    To reduce bus waiting times and congestion on local roads. Surya will work for better public and private transport options for Wishart residents.

2.    To offset the rising coast of fuel and basic necessities such as groceries, predicted to increase into the future, Surya will work to build and enhance local initiatives such as community gardens and fruit markets to ease the burden on Wishart residents.
