Bring back the T3 on Coronation Drive
The Brisbane Greens support calls from the Rail Tram and Bus Union for the Coronation Drive transit lane to be reinstated. This is a cost-effective, short-term solution for improving public transport and reducing congestion. The lane was opened to general traffic during 2007 with bipartisan support from Labor and Liberal Councillors, despite the fact that TransLink stated it would reduce the capacity of the road. It has led to a huge increase in trip times and reduced reliability for public transport users. The Greens' transport plan outlines their future plans for transit lanes. Great to see someone is going to bring back the T3 lane. There's not much point having all these buses if they are all stuck in traffic.
